St. John’s- Sport Fest, May 2011

Sport NL hosted a very successful Sport Fest in St. John’s this May. Interactive sport and activity demos were scattered throughout the Newfoundland and Labrador Sports Centre (PowerPlex). Children and youth of all ages were able to discover different sports and activities that are available here in the province.

Eat Great and Participate was proud to sponsor a booth in the Community Zone with Recreation NL, School Sports NL, Sport NL, City of St. John’s and the Jessica Campaign (injury prevention). The Eat Great and Participate booth profiled a variety of healthy eating resources and tools. Interactive activities included hopscotch, activity dice and a healthy plate demo.

Over 4,500 people attended the 3-day event.
