Corner Brook - Municipalities NL Annual Convention, November 2011

On November 3-5, 2011, Municipalities Newfoundland and Labrador held their Annual Convention in Corner Brook. Delegates from across the province spent time visiting exhibits at the Trade Show. Eat Great and Participate along with Recreation Newfoundland and Labrador and the Department of Tourism, Culture and Recreation set up exhibits promoting “Healthy Communities” and the importance of recreational physical activity and healthy eating. At the Eat Great and Participate exhibit, delegates were encouraged to be champions for healthy living within their municipality and to advocate for more healthy food and beverage choices in recreation facilities and at community events.
